What to consider when migrating from an older version to the newest?
- Categories: have changed between versions: The previous versions used site categories, the new ones use commerce categories.
- Contents: changed between versions: The newest versions have CMS.
- Images: SiteBuilder used images on an item field - SuiteCommerce Advanced uses naming convention for the image file in order to map the image with the item.
- Website features: When changing from SiteBuilder to SuiteCommerce Advanced, some website features may be different
- Url components: may change - in categories, for example.
- Variable Amount: SiteBuilder used to have a variable amount checkbox. SuiteCommerce Advanced does not allow the web to assign a variable amount.
- Configuration record: doesn't exist in older versions: We migrate any configuration that was hardcoded into this configuration.
- Architectural changes: Extensions and Themes did not exist in previous versions - we take advantage of this as much as possible.
